Fuel Multimedia joined forces once again with the Canadian Cancer Society to launch Paint the Downtown Yellow for Daffodil Month. Initially, businesses had the opportunity to host a daffodil pin box, decorate their storefront or to donate a proceed of sales. Fuel jumped at the opportunity to give the campaign that extra push. Thus leading us to literally Paint the Downtown Yellow.
Make it yellow. make it big.
For $100, downtown businesses had the opportunity to have their logo painted on the sidewalk in front of their business with yellow washable sidewalk paint. Businesses sent us their logo and we created stencils with tempered hardboard.
Every April, volunteers hit the downtown streets with pails of yellow paint, stencils and paint brushes in hand. Their mission, to paint over 56 logos and daffodils across the streets of downtown. After a long day of hard work — the mission was a success! Throughout the downtown yellow was abundant, down every street you could find yellow ribbons, storefronts and painted logos and daffodils.
As patrons walked by they expressed their positive feedback stating, “It really brightens up downtown.” We couldn’t agree more. Although the weather is inevitable, we were pleased the paint lasted a week. Mother nature was on our side this time!
Fuel was happy to lend a hand to the Canadian Cancer Society and that the campaign was such a success. See more of the campaign highlights at #paintthedowntownyellow
