SAMSSA – Sudbury Area Mining Supply and Service Association SAMSSA represents the interests of the largest concentration of expertise in mining supply/products and services from within the most recognized center of excellence worldwide.
The SAMSSA logo was refined to reflect the core values of the brand in a unified shape reflecting the organization’s international reach and roots within Canada. For the brand refinement, we retained the brand colours, but aimed to create a stronger and more iconic symbol that would act as a legitimizing stamp whenever it is used. To help members use the brand more easily in their own materials, we went for a clean and bold presence that was designed to reproduce well in smaller sizes or in one colour applications. Due the the complexity of the former logo, these types of applications were not possible.
A Member First Website
The SAMSSA website has been redesigned with the addition of new features to better serve its members. Along with implementing the new brand, we’ve enhanced the member and associate member sections. By segmenting data into unique datafields, the addition of categories, and the addition of tags allows for more robust search and filtering.
Enhanced Member Profiles
Highlighting members is an important aspect of the member-based organization. We have redesigned and augmented the member profiles to include larger and more visual profile listings. These enhanced profiles allow members to improve their overall web presence and, in particular, further assist members who use the SAMSSA website as their primary online vehicle. SAMSSA continues to be a leader in search engine results, and the updates will improve this by providing richer text content for search engine indexing.
The new updates make the SAMSSA website AODA-WCAG 2.0 compliant. Ensuring that our website is accessible to all is a vital component of serving our members to the best of our ability.
AODA compliance also means SAMSSA is fully accessible and easier to read and interact with for everyone.
